Selinsgrove is in Snyder County, Pennsylvania. It is approximately 50 miles north of Harrisburg and 45 miles south of Williamsport.
Where is the Brew & Wine Festival held?
The festival is being held in the center of town between Market and High Streets. The main entry will be on Market Street side. This is an outdoor rain or shine event. View a Map of the Downtown Festival.
What do I get with my ticket?
You will receive a tasting glass for sampling the beer and wine from local and regional brewers. There will also be four hours of great live music for your listening and dancing pleasure. Bottled water will be provided and soft pretzels.
What do I do if I lose my glass?
You will need to contact a staff member to purchase a new one.
Can I re-enter the Brew & Wine Festival?
No, once you have left the Festival grounds you may not re-enter. There are bathrooms, water and food available on the grounds.
Do I need a Valid I.D. even if I am obviously over 21?
YES. Due to PA State Law, everyone that enters the festival must present a Valid I.D. We will checking all I.D.'s at the gate.
Can I buy beer at the Brew & Wine at the Festival?
Unfortunately, this is prohibited by Pennsylvania law and it will be a completely tasting only event.
How can I get to the Brew & Wine Festival without driving?
Unfortunately, at this time, there is no limo/cab service but we are trying to secure a company who will run shuttles where you can pay for a round trip ticket. If we are successful in doing so, we will post it on our site, so please check back. Otherwise, we suggest bringing a designated driver with you.
What is there to do in Selinsgrove before or after the Brew & Wine Festival?
Plenty! There are a number of shops and restaurants all along Market St. Also Saturday is Olde Tymers Day, so the shops will have a sidewalk and tent sales going on. After the festival on the commons area, there will be a free two-hour concert featuring “Johanna” and on Sunday, it’s the annual Antiques on the Isle. So please plan to come early and stay late and enjoy the beauty of our town.
Who does the Selinsgrove Brew & Wine Fest benefit?
The Brew & Wine Fest benefits Selinsgrove Projects, Inc, a non-profit organization that was formed to revitalize and preserve our town. We invite you to walk those streets before and after the festival and see the current beauty of our town and envision what it will be like when we extend our decorative street lighting, develop our commons area, and enhance the facades of the buildings.
Will tickets be sold at the event?
No, all tickets must be purchased in advance. However, some merchants in town who are only a few doors away from the main entrance may have tickets remaining for sale. If you come without a ticket, you will be directed to one of the stores to purchase a ticket. Keep in mind ticket sales are limited.
What if I purchase my ticket on-line at the last minute, will it be mailed to me?
Tickets can be purchase up through the Friday before the event on-line; however all tickets purchased on-line beginning Tuesday, July 15, 2008 will be held and not mailed. You can pick your ticket up at the Will Call table the day of the event.
